Information About the Library - Working at the Library
- Employment Opportunities:

- All employment applications must go through the Department of Workforce Services in Brigham City.
- Volunteer Opportunities:
- The Brigham City Library has a limited number of volunteer positions. If you would like to be considered as a library volunteer if and when a postition becomes available please:
- Talk to a librarian about the availability of a volunteer position. Then if a position is available . . .
- Go to the Brigham City Police Station
- Fill out a volunteer application
- Mark on the application that you are interested in being considered as a 'library volunteer' or 'library literacy tutor'.
- Take your picture ID.
- Don't sign the application until you are there. It must be signed in their presence.
- Persons under the age of 18 need a parent to accompany them and sign the application.
- Types of volunteer positions include:
- Stay-on-Track Literacy Tutor Volunteer - (Tutor postitions for summer 2012 have been filled.) Apply in May to volunteer to help children maintain and improve their reading skills over the summer months next year. Training available.
- Literacy Tutor - Work with children to maintain and improve their reading skills during the summer months - Position requirements: Able to attend a training at the beginning of the summer, allow a background check before you begin tutoring, and work with children in a learning environment and the Literacy Coordinator.
- Adult Volunteer
- General Library Volunteer - Skills needed: Able to perform a variety of functions including: following verbal instructions, working with computers, including internet; copy machines; alphabetical and numeric filing, CD/DVD repair (repair training will be given), able to move books and other library materials.
- Teen Volunteer
- General Library Volunteer - Skills needed: Able to perform a variety of functions including: following verbal instructions, working with computers, including internet; copy machines; alphabetical and numeric filing, CD/DVD repair (repair training will be given), able to move books and other library materials.
